Historical Places
- India Gate
Famous for its architecture, India Gate is one of the most visited historical places in Delhi. You will see a huge gateway type structure with names inscribed on it. The names are of around 13300 servicemen who were soldiers and officers who died during World War I. It is basically the memorial built for them. Anyone can visit India Gate at any hour of the day. It has no entry or any kind of fees.
- Humayun’s
Tomb
Humayun’s tomb or the Maqbera-e-Humayun is a major historical site and is one of the best places to visit in Delhi. It is a UNESCO declared World Heritage Site. It is the tomb of the famous Mughal emperor Humayun which was commissioned by his first wife Bega Begum in 1569-70. It is located in the Nizamuddin East in New Delhi. It is the first garden tomb found in the subcontinent. Indian citizens have to pay 10/- as entry fees only. For foreign nationals it is 250/- per person.
- Red Fort
Historical marvel built by the emperor Shah Jahan, was the residence of the Mughal family for 200 years. It is situated in Chandni Chowk. It is one of the major tourist attractions in Delhi after India Gate.
- Qutub
Minar
Also known as the ‘victory tower’, it was made in the Delhi Sultanate period. The minaret is located in the Mehrauli area in South Delhi. It has a spiral staircase, which was allowed to climb but due to some mishap it got closed in 1981. Made of red sandstone, it is the highest minaret in Asia. Fees is 30/- for nationals and 500/- for foreign nationals.

Temple
The Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex or simply the Akshardham Temple is mostly marvelous and is known for its beautiful architecture, and for its temple complex. Exhibits include Sahajanand Darshan which is the hall of high values, Nilkanth Darshan is a theatre, Sanskruti Vihar which is the boat ride.

Temple
The Bahai Lotus temple is a major attraction in New Delhi. It is famous for its architectural beauty. The structure is beautiful and is charming. There are nine doors which are an entry point to the central hall.
- Gurudwara
Bangla Sahib
This is the most visited Gurudwara in Delhi, visited mostly by Delhiites, rather than tourists. It is a place of tourist attraction. The Langar provided is mostly loved by the worshippers.
