Daman and Diu are famous for their wonderful beaches and extraordinary aura. It represents a glimpse of history, nature, breezy beaches, and the latest and old restaurants to eat continental food. Daman and Diu is a silent place with the goodness of nature. It is considered to be a wonderful destination to visit with the family. The best time to visit this place is in winters from October to February. The climate is pleasant at that time. The temperature of the place lies between 22 degrees to 35 degrees with a shower of raindrops in the monsoon. There are many best places to visit in Daman and Diu:


     Nagoa Beach: This is one of the most famous sites. It takes only 30 minutes to reach there from the main town of Diu. One can plan picnics and visit nearby villages on a bike ride. The weather remains breezy which suits me to roam freely and take a visit to the city. The beach is around two kilometers which is full of visitors and activities. There are also some fine restaurants nearby to enjoy

     Diu Fort: This is a very ancient fort constructed between 1535 that was built by an Arab governor Malekhyaaz. This fort served as a vantage point for the Portuguese since it is surrounded by the Arabian sea. This is a wonderful site for seeing ancient essence. This now serves the purpose of the lighthouse.

     Gangeshwar Temple: It is situated in Fudam village which is near the town of Diu. It is the famous temple of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Shiva Lingas were established there by Pandavas. Many devotees want to go there. It is undoubtedly a good site to enjoy.

     Jampore Beach: This is a hidden destination in the midtown of Daman. It is situated in the isolated border area of Gujrat. This beach is well connected with the roads and railways. One can enjoy dipping in the water to sense this beach and enjoy the greenery around this beach.

     Jetty Garden: This is built in a place called Moti Daman. This garden holds the beauty of Daman Ganga River and it is situated at the shore of it carrying a good ambiance and soothing climate. This is a very attention-catching place which is worth watching and spending some time sitting there.

     St. Paul’s Church: This is the very ancient church built in the 17th century. The architect of this church is influenced by the Gothic style. It is similar to Bom Jesus Church in Goa.

     Naida Caves: Naida caves are situated by the main wall of Diu fort. These caves attract many tourists due to the way they are situated. Sunshine seems very pleasant while crossing from these caves. This is also a place for bird watching and photography.
